The funeral services may not be religion-based. Many people also prefer to perform a non-religious funeral service based on their beliefs, where we arrange for trained celebrants and lead the ceremony.
If the deceased’s religious faith is uncertain, or if the family of the deceased prefers a nonreligious funeral, we respect the wishes and arrange a service accordingly.
The most common approach for non religion-based funeral is to use a civil, non-religious or secular celebrant. The service includes hymns, readings, prayers or music based on any spiritual or religious aspect relevant to the deceased.
We respect the beliefs of humanism and allow no religious customs in the ceremony of the atheist.
Please contact us if you wish for us to arrange for a humanist celebrant to perform the ceremony, although the fees of a non-religious celebrant might be higher than religious ministers.
